The other blanket...

A bucket of colorful yarn to make another blanket for grandbaby number two; sex yet unknown.

Wonderful beachy colors just right for a little one who will reside in Miami, Fl. The yarn is a fingering weight extra fine merino; soooo yummy soft!

The pattern i used is called, Miami Beach Blanket. Maaike of Crejjtion fame designed the blanket and i purchased it from her etsy shop!
The blankie whipped up in no time, partly because the directions and color charts were so easy to follow and because i was a bit obsessive while working on it.  :)

I can't wait to hold little Florida baby wrapped up in this sweet blankie... I think it will do for a boy or a girl!

How bout you?

Voila!

Baby blanket  is finally finished!!!  I added fuchsia around each square and scallops around the blanket !

this blankie is for grandbaby number two, sex unkown by the way,  i know... i know... i just had to take a chance this baby will be a girl!

I love the way this blanket turned out.  A nod to retro bohimian chic, just my daughter's style!
And, if by chance the baby turns out to be a boy I have started on another sweet blankie, lol, i just can't help myself.  :)

The colors for the next project....ta da!!!!

Pink and white

just right for bunny booties!

right on time for...

Easter!
I love the little cotton tails.
These booties are super soft  thanks to the angora yarn!

they will keep some wee  one's feet
nice and toasy.

I used the Debbie Bliss pattern in her fall/winter 2011 magazine.  I must say these booties were a little challenging at first, but I was able to get the hang of it. :)
