Purple, blue and....

fuchsia!
Perfect colors for a new make; a baby blanket for grandchild number 2. Hip hip horray! (shouted while jumping up and down)

These colors are the choice of my bohemian, ecclectic, chic daughter number three.  Her wee one will snuggle in Cascade's ultra pima cotton.  Thinking, granny squares have a bohemian feel right?

p.s. if this little one is not a girl I will have to start another blanket :)

New loves...

Tif Fussell's book..... dottie angel the peachy crafty world of tif fussell and crochet on paper! Especially, paper hearts.

dottie angel is the charmingly, granny chic, alter ego of Miss Tif, who whips up  vintage goodies by the score. One can't help but smile while reading this cheery book, and wonder, "why didn't I think of that".  You can find Tif here, here

The most amazing, collegiate crafter ever inspired these hearts framed in pink cotton scallops.  Meridith shares her knitting and crafting joy here

Ohh.... I love tulips too!

Sweet Friends....

Sending you a heartfelt sentiment...

Happiest of Valentines Day to you!

P.s. the yarn used for the crochet heart is a cashmerino fingering weight and is yummy soft!

It's time to....

Speaking of love.... coffee is one of mine.  Cappachino, white chocolate latte, or just plain brew with a shot of vanilla all hit the spot and serve to make the day a bit more special.  I've been seeing this cup make the rounds in blog land so I thought i would add mine. The cup is really too pretty to throw out.
I'll take mine with cherry sours please!

And... I soooo adore hearing from you dear blog friends!

Snippets

So I received a perplexing e-mail yesterday.  Pic nik, the photo editing site, that I use is closing in April.  The e-mail directed future former users to go to google + for editing.   Hmmm.... so  I did, and it turned out to be picasa.  I downloaded it and began to fiddle.  Voila!  Here is the result of my experimentation with a new editing program.  Little bits of Hopelessly Romantic Art Studio's year of 2011
